The Metropolitan Museum of Art
The Metropolitan Museum of Art's American Wing reopened on May 19, 2009, after more than two years of construction and renovation. Among the unparalleled collections of American furniture, sculpture, stained glass, architectural elements, ceramics, glass, silver, pewter, and jewelry which have been accessible to the public since the reopenning; the artifacts made of the exclusive Rustic Green (also named as Sea Grass) limestone of the HP Marble Co. can also be seen. Below pictures taken at the American Wing Courtyard show the decorative pool, the border around the courtyard between the columns, staircase and its landing, seating on both sides of the stairs, and the flower bed behind the seating; all of which were made of Rustic Green.
